Kenny Seymour to serve as Music Arranger for "Lillette's Rhythm Club (Then & Now)  Featuring renowned Classical Pianist "JADE SIMMONS"

Lillette's Rhythm Club: Then and Now is a new musical experience designed to expose a virtually unknown event in music history to the world. Starring Phenom Concert Pianist, Powerhouse Speaker and Actress Jade Simmons, Lillette’s Rhythm Club is a one-woman musical extravaganza that time travels through two glorious eras and stretches the limits of musical genius.

The story is based on the life of Harlem-born, legendary jazz concert pianist and entertainer Lillette Jenkins-Wisner. Lillette is an icon amongst icons. She and her actor-comedian husband Bud Harris were African American royalty in an era of segregation and discrimination against Blacks in entertainment. Their establishment, Lillette's Rhythm Club, was the first African-American owned Casino, nightclub and hotel in Reno-Sparks, Nevada in 1945. It was frequented by the biggest names in the business. Known since the 1940s as “Queen of the Keys,” Lillette Harris (as she was known then) has shared the spotlight with artists such as Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Josephine Baker, Nat King Cole, Lena Horne, Ray Charles, B.B. King and most recently Billy Joel. Today, she still rules the throne as one of the last revered multi-talented, multi-genre female musicians of this century.

In Lillette's Rhythm Club: Then and Now, be amazed as Jade, who’s gone from "Classical Music's #1 Maverick" to modern-day “Musical Force of Nature”, takes on the task of embodying the iconic multi-genre entertainer during her heyday and reimagining what the musical genius would look and sound like today with all of technology available at her virtuoso finger tips! This family-friendly production is an inspirational, educational and entertaining music and storytelling adventure. It spans beloved Jazz and Blues classics by Lillette, including her own stunning classical-gospel arrangements. Simmons musical talents will run the gamut from Rachmaninoff all the way to rap with electronic explorations in between.
